Samuel Louis Nestico (1924 -1921), better known as Sammy Nestico, was a recent much mourned loss to the music World. He is best known as a music arranger and throughout an illustrious musical career, wrote music for both Army and Marine bands until he left the military in 1963, developed a close collaboration with the Count Basie until his death in 1984 and worked with many famous names to produce albums of their music. He was a great educator, wrote books as well as music and even had a distinguished reputation for writing tv and film music as well as for commercials. This is an adaptation of one of his lesser know arrangements for concert wind band.
