Listen to an extract:
Peter Cornilius, 1824 – 1874, was a German composer of mostly choral music, a lot of which is now sadly, seldom played. His activities were mostly in the field of Music Critic and his advice was sort by many 19th century composers.
The Three Kings is however, a piece that has stood the test of time. It is often sung at Christmas by choirs of all standards.
A part is included for clarinet in A as the original key of G major could be easily played on either instrument.
