Listen to the piece.
Antonin Leopold Dvorak (1841-1904), composer and brilliant violinist, he is best known for his symphony no .9, from the New World, especially the 2nd movement with its cor anglais solo. Apart from 9 symphonies and 9 operas, he wrote a large amount of religious oratorios and a large amount of smaller chamber works. In amongst these are the Slavonic Dances, 0p 46 (from 1877), basing their themes on folk tunes from his own country, Czechoslovakia. This is Dance no. 4, arranged for Brass Quintet.
This orchestral score transcribes well for brass quintet and although some compromise is necessary to make the music playable, I hope the listener will agree that this works well for the players.
